We are Living in a Spider Web

4/20/2016

A concept that has always amazed me is universal consciousness. What is universal consciousness? Also know as panpsychism, universal consciousness is the intelligent spider-web that connects every living (and non-living) thing in the universe. It can be used to explain synchronicities. It can also explain why individuals can independently come up with the SAME great at the SAME time.

Have you ever wondered how you and a colleague could come up with the SAME solution to a problem, even when the two of you aren’t working on the solution together? Universal consciousness.

Or why all of television networks are launching the same type of NEW programming? Be it reality tv or supernatural programs or legal dramas? They may have been snooping on each other. But it is more likely they all had the same idea (universal consciousness) and the spying on their competitors cemented what they were already planning on.

Universal consciousness can even be seen in scientific discoveries. For example, fission and fusion, new concepts around the time of World War I and II. While Teller and Oppenheimer are credited with their discovery, there is documentation similar research was occurring independently (and in secret) around the globe. Serendipity? More likely the universal consciousness at work.

It happens all the time. It actually happened to me this week!

The synchronicity actually began in 2014 while I was in the shower – that’s where I get my BEST ideas. I got the concept, “Where is Dawn Lynn.” And playing on the concept of Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego or Where’s Waldo, it is exactly as it sounds – Where IS Dawn Lynn? A scavenger hunt, what’s more fun than that? The prize of course! The player who is able to “find” me, not only gets bragging rights but also wins a free/reduced rate reading.

I was so excited about this concept that I purchased the domain, I wrote up rules and guidelines, and even launched it. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to maintain the project and it fell to the back burner.

It was abandoned, but not forgotten.

Last month with prodding from my guides, I decided to re-launch it. To hold myself accountable, I announced the promotion in my April Newsletter. And come the first week of the month, I got right on it. First location, my alma mater, Allegheny College. The next week, was at Lotus Salon. Both times within the hour, someone had guessed!

It has been exciting and fun. AND, I’m looking forward to keeping it going.

You’re probably saying to yourself, “OK, that’s great… but where does the universal consciousness come in?”

Well I’m getting to that. You see this past weekend I noticed a Facebook posting from a colleague of mine is doing the same thing! Although we are connected via social media, I am ashamed to say I don’t really follow her so am uncertain as to whether or not the promotion has been done before. Or if Spirit who had been pushing me to do it had begun to push her as well. Or perhaps like T-Mobile and Sprint who saw Verizon’s ball commercial and thought it was brilliant, she saw me doing it and thought it was a great idea. Whatever the case may be, the universe really does seem to keep us connected with a universal thought.

Wonder what the next big idea will be!
