![]() If you’ve read my Blog, Hit On the Head, you know that I was in a serious car accident in 2002. Because of that, it shouldn’t surprise you then that I suffer from back and neck pain from time to time. To keep this in check I see a chiropractor pretty frequently. Unfortunately, I missed my last visit because Baby Girl had been cranky the night before (teething) and both she and I FINALLY gotten to sleep right before the appointment. Despite many good intentions, I never got around to rescheduling it. Week bled into week, and before I knew it it was four weeks since my last adjustment. That’s when my back decided to complain. It started with a little ache. That ache, became a nag... which turned into a pain that shot up and down my back just below my rib cage accompanied by nausea, became very dizzy and light-headed. Then the headache began. That night, I barely slept. Back hurting. Head hurting. Popping pain killers. Nothing helped. After a night of tossing and turning, I was tired, uncomfortable and could barely able to see straight… Seeing the pain on my face, my doting husband insisted I try to get in to the chiropractor. Unfortunately, that was a no go as the office was closed that day. Seeing the tears in my eyes, my husband came up with an alternate plan. What about Krista he queried. I insisted I could wait a day and didn’t want to bother her. Besides, I had other things to figure out – such as, what to do about the class I had scheduled that evening. After a lengthy discussion, I reluctantly decided to cancel class that evening. We hunted down everyone’s numbers, save one. Luckily, I was pretty sure I had her contact information at the office. Knowing we would be heading down to the office, Don again pushed, let’s contact Krista. Urging me by saying, “Dawn… She’s next door. I’m SURE she will fit you in.” Again I ignored his persistence and began to pull things together to pack Baby Girl up to get ready to go. And then shuffled off to the office, getting there a little after 12:15… Because people should be in meditation at this time, I figured I would be able to this would sneak in and then sneak out without being noticed. Well that didn’t happen. As I crept up the stairs, the door to the classroom where meditation was to be taking place was wide open. In the doorway stood three women: Judy (the owner of WillowLight), a patron, and KRISTA. All looked at me and aghast stated, “What are YOU doing here!” I began explaining the situation, and before I could finish Krista exclaimed… “Dawn come over to my office, I’m taking care of you.” So by now you must be thinking… WHO THE HECK IS KRISTA! Krista Haller is licensed massage therapist, chiropractor and talented healer. She owns White Horse Chiropractic on Route 16, right next door to WillowLight. She is also incredibly intuitive. Well that was that… I might be resistant, but I’m not stupid. When Spirit lines things up in such a matter that it’s impossible to ignore. I listen. So after finding the contact information I had come for, I made my way next door with Krista where I received one of the most amazing adjustments and healings I have ever had. While it did not take away all the pain as there is still a constant ache right at my ribs/kidney line (it turns out I had a UTI… which, btw, she encouraged me to get to the doctor about)… the adjustment/massage/healing lifted the fog I was under. I was no longer a zombie! Thank you Krista. Thank you Spirit. Comments are closed.
