![]() Ever have a period in your life where things just seem magical and one thing after another seems to effortlessly fall into place? Now, I recognize that in many instances, circumstances falling into place is often a case of hard work and perseverance… but it’s nice to think that something greater is at play when it happens and it probably is. The effortless alignment of goals and tying up of loose ends has been what my husband and I have experienced all week. Everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING, my husband and I have been waiting to fall into place and be tied up, has done just that. It started Monday. A few months ago, my husband had a minor medical procedure. The procedure went well and he is fully healed, but we’ve been waiting anxiously for the post-op results to ensure he’s in the clear. Early Monday morning he finally had his follow-up and tests were run. We had cause for celebration when tests came back negative that afternoon! Woo hoo!! We were expecting those results Monday. But, having the scientific documentation was still a weight off our shoulders and we could breathe a little easier. On Tuesday, the streak continued. I was thrilled when I opened my mail and saw a sizable bill from my daughter’s health insurance company. You might be thinking, is she crazy? A bill is not usually something to get excited about (especially a sizable one)! But, in this case it meant that a clerical issue I have been battling the insurance company and NYS Health Exchange to rectify since the beginning of the year (check out this Blog and Video for more) has FINALLY been resolved. Thank you Assemblyman Ray Walter and your office for the help! Not only that, my husband received an unexpected letter that day as well. Enclosed in this letter was a check. A small inheritance from his grandmother’s passing, that a family member generously passed on to us as he believed it would have been what my husband’s grandmother would have wanted. This check just happened to cover our bill. Have I mentioned, Spirit always takes care of us? When Wednesday rolled around, after receiving a phone call he said to me – “Damn girl, you’re on FIRE this week.” Who called? The NYS Attorney General’s office. You see, we’ve had a problem with a contractor who did some work on our home last year. After being nickel and dimed to get the job done right, the job was never completed nor was it done well. Despite promises in the fall when it was getting too cold to complete that he would come back this year to finish the job and promises from him in the early summer to not only complete the job and fix the problems that are already arising, no work has been done and we haven’t heard from him since. With the problems getting worse, we took action. That’s why the AG was calling my husband. He had filed a consumer complaint and they called wanting to take a statement as they intend on moving on our complaint with hopes of getting our money back. More movement forward!! I can’t wait to see how long this tide lasts. But I’m also not going to worry about it ending either. I’m going to enjoy it for as long as it lasts… and I’ll keep saying my prayers, my affirmations and taking action on my goals! Comments are closed.
